UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE
THE THIRD AGE TRUST
Computer Club
The computer users have been meeting, since the end of February 2007, in the Conference and Computer Training Suite – a spacious, modern, air-conditioned facility for staff training, presentations and IT workshops that has been created above the Café Unity in the centre of Heald Green.

Using fast Broadband Internet-connected desk-top computers, or their own laptop computers, members are able to watch video demonstrations or follow step-by-step computing instruction on a large screen image via an overhead VGA digital projector linked to a dedicated training computer.

The current Computer Club is now meeting once a month, on the fourth Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon, at a cost of £3.00 per session.

We discuss common problems and interests in computing and, although a certain basic understanding of computing is expected, an occasional topic will be presented by one of the more experienced computer users from within the group.

New U3A members are always welcome, no one is excluded and the group is not solely for experienced computer users.

Members interested in attending the Cafe Unity meetings should contact George Rogers or email chu3a@talktalk.net
