THE THIRD AGE TRUST

Some of our members had expressed an interest in joining a Chess Group, so the idea was floated at November's meeting and we already have a few names of interested members.

We have a good venue lined up, the Café Unity on Finney Lane in Heald Green. Their upstairs room is where our Computer Group meets, so with tea and coffee on hand and a good bus service from Cheadle Hulme, not to mention the stair lift, we could be well suited.  

If we have enough support, with eight or more attending each meeting, the room fee of £15 would be covered and at £2 each, it would be quite a reasonable charge.  The afternoons available to us are Thursday and Friday, from 2 till 4 p.m., so please indicate which you are free for, hopefully either!

If you are interested, please contact Kelvin Vann, with your contact details for email and telephone, and not forgetting the days you would be available. Some idea of your level of expertise, e.g. "experienced", "school team" or "can't remember", would help too! Initially, we could not take on absolute beginners, but if things go well, maybe in the future.
